Why only the chemicals?

Assad has already killed more than 200,000 of his own people, of course with conventional weapons. It is such a hypocrisy to be all worked up for chemical weapons and don't give a damn about the conventional weapons that have killed hundreds of thousands. Every day hundreds of people are killed by Assad forces in Syria, is being killed by conventional weapons easy or different?
